Islamabad: PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said October 4 long march is inevitable.
"October 4 long march is inevitable. If government wants to stop long march then our demands be accepted and doors to negotiations be opened, he said this while talking to media men in parliament on Wednesday.
He said I had telephoned to speaker and it was intention to meet him that PTI MNAs are arrested under MPO. MNAs come to parliament through million of votes. They are leaders for maintaining law and order situation in their respective areas. Therefore, arresting them under MPOs is illegal.
He requested speaker to play his role in this regard.
About letter of Shaukat Zai he said countless letters like this are received to him. 180 letters came to him in a week. This is internal matter of party.
He held PTI is not a dictatorial or kings party. There is democracy in party and all can express their opinion.
Shaukat Yousuf zai sent letter to him through whatsapp message and expressed his opinion. He is still information secretary of party. His opinion is valued. He or PTI have no grievance against Shaukat Yusufzai that he wrote letter.
However he said to Shaukat Yusufzai that there was no need of sending such letter or message because it was leaked which is not appropriate.
He said that movement between government and opposition is underway. But objective is not being served due to which all the things have gone to pipeline. Prime Minister has written letter and he has returned to Pakistan. Meeting with opposition leader is a constitutional obligation. Meeting on this count is must so that effort is made to melt the ice.
Umar Ayub is leader of the opposition and Khan Sahb has given this responsibility to him. He has mandate for meeting and conversation.
He said emphatically that it is his endeavor long march is held peacefully and emergency and governor rule is not imposed in the province. If emergency or governor rule is imposed in the province then undemocratic forces will be encouraged and tension and hatred will enhance. Law and order situation in the province will worsen and mandate of the province will be made question mark.
Emergency or governor rule should not be imposed in KP at any cost. This is not cure to get rid of long march. Cure is this stance be heard and meetings with PTI founder and his treatment be arranged.
One year has passed but meeting with PTI founder has not been arranged .
He said MPAs should keep their CVs in their pockets. Sohail Afridi will remain chief minister of KP. He is with the confidence of Khan Sahb and all MPAs are with him.
We consider it a sin that sisters of Imran Khan are kept in jail even for one hour. They are women and are non political. They have come only for sake of their brother. They were kept in Kot Lakhpat jail. Medicines and meetings were denied to them. They could be kept in rest house by honoring traditions.
