OIC lauds Pakistan’s role in advocating cause of Muslim Ummah

Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met the Secretary General of OIC, Hissein Brahim Taha, on the sidelines of Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah.

He highlighted Pakistan's strong condemnation of Israel's recognition of Somaliland and its unwavering support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia.

Categorically rejecting any proposal for dislocation of Palestinians, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's principled position on Palestine.

He urged the OIC Secretary General to step up his efforts for realization of the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people.

The OIC Secretary General commended Pakistan's consistent and constructive role at OIC in advocating for the causes central to the Muslim Ummah.

Meanwhile, Dar met Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, on the sidelines of 22nd Extraordinary Session of the OIC, in Jeddah.

Both sides discussed strengthening Pakistan-Saudi strategic partnership and reaffirmed close cooperation within the OIC for peace, stability and security in the region.

Moreover, On the sidelines of the 22nd Extraordinary OIC CFM in Jeddah, DPM/FM Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.

The two sides reviewed Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations, reaffirmed commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple domains, and exchanged views on Gaza and regional developments, underscoring support for international law, the just cause of the Palestinian people.
