Islamabad: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and property caused by flash floods on the Gilgit-Babusar Road.

In his message, Omar Ayub Khan stated that the heavy rains, landslides, and rising water levels in the rivers have created a devastating situation in the region, resulting in tragic loss of life and severe damage to property. He extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives, saying that he stands with them in their hour of grief.

The Leader of the Opposition also said that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the affected families during this time of trial. He also said that the widespread damage caused by recent rains and natural calamities is a national challenge that demands unity, compassion, and coordinated action.

Omar Ayub Khan called upon the federal and provincial governments and all concerned departments to intensify and expedite rescue and relief operations. He stressed the importance of locating missing persons at the earliest and ensuring immediate medical assistance to the injured. He also offered prayers for the departed souls, asking for the elevation of their ranks and for the speedy recovery of those injured in the disaster.

Furthermore, Omar Ayub Khan also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident that recently occurred in Rawalpindi and Islamabad which also resulted in the loss of innocent lives. He conveyed his condolences to the affected families and prayed for patience and strength for them to bear this irreparable loss.
