Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the petition seeking revocation of bail of Bank employee Bilal arrested for his alleged affiliation with banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).



The court remarked how can bank employee come to know that the vehicle will be used in any blast in future. Only transferring money cannot be made offence.



A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan took up the case for hearing Wednesday.



The petition for cancellation of bail of Bilal was filed in the court. Bilal is accused of having affiliation with proscribed BLA.



During the hearing of the case the state counsel while seeking more time said more documents have to be filed in regard to case and he will present the evidence regarding affiliation of the accused with BLA.



Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan inquired ” you should tell what is affiliation of Bilal with BLA. How you connected the link of the accused with BLA.



Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked the accused was bank employee. How the transferring of money related to vehicle became crime of bank employee. Bank manager had transferred only money. How Bank officer could know that the vehicle would be used in any explosion in future.



The court while rejecting adjournment plea of prosecution dismissed the plea for revocation of bail of Bilal.



It is pertinent to mention here CTD had registered case against Bilal in Karachi. He was charged in the case that he transferred the money in respect of a vehicle which was later used in a blast.



The court maintained solid evidence are required to prove the allegation. Only discharging professional obligation cannot be linked to terrorism.
