Islamabad: Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi has said September 27 long march will be based on demands for release of Imran Khan, allowing meeting with him and providing treatment facility to PTI founder.
About 2 million people are likely to participate in Long March.
" I will lead the long march. This will not be one day event. The power for stopping or ending long march will rest with Imran Khan, he said this while talking to media men in KP house Islamabad.
If his stance has been considered this long march is aimed at only seeking access to Imran Khan and not his release then it is possible he has not succeeded in making understand his stance correctly.
The aim of March is release, meeting and treatment of Imran Khan. If once long march starts then controlling it or ending it will be in hands of Imran Khan. If Imran Khan gives directives then long march be ended then it will be ended otherwise the workers will continue their long march, he added.
He went on to say there is no return way from Long March. Movement will not end due to arrest or absence of an individual. If he is arrested or any untoward situation is created the he has already got recorded his statement.
Protest will not end due to arrest of any one. Long March is a big political war. Flag is in my hand at present. If I don't remain here then some other person will take the lead. If Aleema Khan leads the march then it will be good thing.
About health of Imran Khan he said he has obtained information from an important figure of federation. According to him Imran Khan health is ok. There is no substance in the news running on social media.
If PPP becomes part of opposition then we are ready to work with them. Talks are underway with JUI-F for their participation in Long March.
We can consider the matter of creation of new provinces but the present government has no mandate for creating provinces.
