Islamabad: Opposition leader in Senate Raja Nasir Abbas has said opposition is ready for talks but government is not serious in this regard.

Talking to a private T V channel he said opposition has always talked for resolving the problems through talks and political contacts. Mehmood Khan Achakzai said let us hold talks in constitution room in parliament.

Achakzai wrote to Rana Sana Ullah to this extent the meeting is possible at his residence too. But government is not serious for political meeting and talks. Government does not want to hold serious political dialogue for addressing the problems.

Allama Nasir Abbas said opposition is ready to meet Prime Minister and government delegation for purposeful talks. Government should take step forward. I have come to Iraq. If talks are held tomorrow I will return to Pakistan today.

Tehreek--e-Tahaffaz-e- Pakistan spokesperson Akhundzada Yusufzai said had government been serious in talks it would not have registered cases of terrorism against opposition. Had government wanted to hold talks it would have arranged meeting of opposition leadership with Imran Khan in Adiala. Even sisters of Imran Khan are not being allowed to hold meeting with him in Adiala jail.
