Orphaned and underprivileged children given Eid gifts at a ceremony organised by AlKhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: Orphaned and underprivileged children were given Eid gifts at a ceremony organised by AlKhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Monday. Provincial President of the foundation Khalid Waqas chaired the ceremony that was also attended by President of the Peshawar Press Club, M Riaz as the chief guest.Among other notable guests were Vice President of Peshawar Press Club Zia-ul-Haq, senior journalists, Mohammad Tayyeb, Riffat Orakzai, CEO of Hope Foundation Muhammad Zubair, Director News Frontier Digital Network Anmol Shirazi, Alkhidmat's district president Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, Provincial General Manager Dr. Adil Muhammad, Media Manager Noor-ul-Wahid Jadoon, along with senior journalists and a large number of mothers and guardians of the children. Speaking on the occasion, Khalid Waqas said Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year distributed Eid gifts to over 6,500 orphaned and deserving children, including street children, under its care across the province.Under its Family Support Program and Aghosh Homes, the organization arranged Eid shopping trips for these children in major shopping malls across Peshawar and other districts. Various Eid gift distribution ceremonies were also held throughout the three days of Eid to ensure that the children could fully participate in the festive celebrations. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation is currently supporting more than 36,000 orphaned and deserving children across Pakistan, including over 6,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone.M. Riaz lauded the organization's humanitarian services, stating that Alkhidmat Foundation's selfless efforts are a source of pride not only for the institution but for the entire nation. He emphasized that the organization's services are not limited by individual, political, district, or provincial boundaries, but are extended purely on the basis of humanity, regardless of color, race, language, or religion.He further noted that Alkhidmat's welfare activities have expanded beyond Pakistan to the global level, citing its ongoing humanitarian efforts in Gaza and Palestine as a testament to its commitment. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation has truly emerged as a representative welfare organization of the entire nation, and its valuable services are a matter of pride for all.
