Islamabad: Foreign Office (FO) has said our doors are open for talks with India and we support resolution of all issues through talks.
During talks between Ishaq Dar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio regional and international issues including Iran and ceasefire efforts will come under discussion. Iranian president visit to Pakistan has not been cancelled . Details in respect of his visit and visit of Afghan foreign minister to Pakistan are being worked out.
This was said by FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan during his weekly press briefing here Thursday.
Pak-Iran ties are strong and several matters will come under discussion during the visit.
If talks will be held on Pak-Iran gas pipeline or otherwise, it is premature to say any thing in this regard.
He said Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar is on official visit of US at present.
On the Afghan visa fraud issue, Khan said investigations are ongoing. Referring to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi's recent visit to Afghanistan, he said ties between the two countries have improved, though the presence of terrorist safe havens remains a major concern under discussion.
Plans are also underway for a future visit by the Afghan Foreign Minister to Pakistan, and bilateral trade is increasing.
Responding to a question about BRICS membership, Khan said Pakistan is making serious efforts to join the organisation.
On Palestine, the Foreign Minister called for an immediate ceasefire, an end to attacks on hospitals and schools, and the protection of civilians during his UN address. Pakistan also strongly condemned Israel's strikes on Syria, terming them a blatant violation of international law.
He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to sending humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as access routes are open.
Commenting on recent clashes between Thailand and Cambodia, the spokesperson said Pakistan is monitoring the situation and supports a peaceful resolution of all disputes.
