It is pertinent to mention here that PAC has been summoned after 10 months of establishment of the parliament as deadlock between government and opposition was prevailing over the nomination of chairman of the committee.
Government had summoned three names from PTI for chairmanship of PAC.
PTI founder had given name of Sheikh Waqas Akram first but government was not agreed over it. Later name of Junaid Akbar was given which was accepted by the government.
It is pertinent to mention here PPP also put pressure on government to obtain chairmanship of PAC. However government had rejected this pressure. Due to it certain circles of PPP have expressed displeasure with government as well.
