Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said Pak-Chine friendship is unparalleled and unique in comity of nations and both the countries have stood with each other in every trying time.
"China-Pakistan friendship occupies a unique niche in the world. Government of Pakistan is eager to bring China-Pakistan friendship to new peaks. It is our desire Chinese industries should install their units in Pakistan, he said this during a meeting with Chinese Garment group.
A delegation from Challenge Fashion Private Limited, a Chinese garment group, recently called on PM.
Talking to Chinese delegation PM said upswing in economic ties between the two countries is source of satisfaction. It is our desire Chinese industries install their units in Pakistan. We appreciate the trust of Challenge Fashion group on Pakistani market. We welcome Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Pakistan by challenge group.
PM underlined this SEZ will help in transfer of technology, skill development and durable economic development.
PM directed to provide every possible facility to challenge group through this SEZ saying we are determined to promote industrial part of CPEC. Pakistan wants to benefit from development and skill of China.
He indicated soon China-Pakistan Business to business conference will be held in China soon. This conference will provide an opportunity to forge partnership to private business entities.
Chairman Challenge Fashion Group thanked PM for hospitality extended to them.
He said challenge group has made investment of 17 million US dollars in Pakistan since 2014. Challenge Fashion Group (CFG) is setting up a modern textile industry in Pakistan . CFG is establishing SEZ in Pakistan.
The meeting was told during the briefing investment amounting to US 100 million dollars will be made through SEZ within five years. Exports of 400 million US dollars are expected from it.
PM inaugurated challenge group special economic zone after meeting.
Planning minister Ahsan Iqbal, commerce minister Jam Kamal, information minister Atta Ullah Tarar, petroleum minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
