Lahore: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that Pakistan and all Muslim countries should welcome and support Hamas's response.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the resistance movement Hamas has once again demonstrated great responsibility by giving a dignified response to the proposed peace plan - a response that reflects the aspirations of the Palestinian people and the wisdom of Hamas.
He said that Hamas, in fact, seeks not a temporary but a permanent ceasefire. While it has expressed readiness for a prisoner exchange, its demand for suitable conditions for the process is entirely legitimate. Likewise, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces and the establishment of an administrative setup run not by international actors but by Palestinian technocrats is a 100% just demand. All these matters will be discussed in detail through mediators.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that in its reply, Hamas has avoided unnecessary issues. We believe that Pakistan and all Muslim countries should welcome Hamas's position. This is indeed a true Islamic resistance movement - not only strong in faith, steadfastness, and spirit, but also endowed with prudence, political wisdom, diplomatic skills, and collective vision. In such critical times, this resilience is surely a treasure for humanity.
