Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, in the new phase after the formation of new government, were poised to become steadier and stronger.

Addressing a joint session of the parliament, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated their brothers and sisters of Bangladesh on holding elections and forming a new government.

He further reiterated that Pakistan would continue to work for peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
