Pakistan Holds High-Level Meeting to Strengthen Economic and Trade Relations with EU

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, chaired a high-level inter-ministerial meeting today to discuss strategies for strengthening Pakistan's economic and trade relations with the European Union.

Senator Dar highlighted the importance of enhancing trade cooperation, exploring new opportunities for economic engagement, and further deepening Pakistan-EU economic ties. He emphasized that the GSP Plus framework remains a crucial mechanism for mutually beneficial trade and stressed the need to maximize its potential to support Pakistan's economic growth.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister of Commerce, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Amna Baloch, Secretaries of Commerce, Human Rights, and Human Resources, along with senior officials from relevant federal and provincial departments and ministries.
