Karachi: The Pakistan Navy, through its National Hydrographic Office (NHO), is facilitating a Pakistan-China Joint Oceanographic Cruise organized by the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) in collaboration with China's Second Institute of Oceanography (SIO).

The Navy has deployed its survey vessel, PNS Behr Masah, to support the scientific mission, highlighting its commitment to marine research and maritime awareness.

The joint cruise aims to enhance understanding of Pakistan's marine environment, providing insights into coastal and offshore dynamics, supporting environmental assessments, and aiding maritime planning and policymaking.

This initiative reflects the ongoing scientific cooperation between Pakistan and China and contributes to a wider regional understanding of oceanographic conditions in the North Arabian Sea.
