Pakistan not complete without Kashmir: Altaf Shakoor

Karachi: Pakistan is not complete without Kashmir as Kashmir represents letter 'K' in word 'Pakistan', said Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Altaf Shakoor here Wednesday on the eve of Kashmir.

Altaf Shakoor said that every year on February 5, Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day, a national holiday dedicated to expressing unity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The day is marked by public demonstrations, rallies and seminars, reflecting Pakistan's long-standing stance on the Kashmir dispute.

He said for the Pakistani nation, the Kashmir day carries political and diplomatic weight, as it reaffirms the position that Kashmir is a disputed territory requiring international resolution. On this day we urge the United Nations and global powers to intervene. This day demonstrates cross party unity in Pakistan, with political differences set aside to highlight solidarity with Kashmir. It also symbolises deep emotional bonds between Pakistanis and Kashmiris. These ties of faith, culture, and shared history. He said today we honour the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs and express our support and solidarity with them.

Altaf Shakoor demanded from the government of Pakistan to redouble its efforts for the cause of Kashmir and Kashmiris. He pledged that the PDP would continue to play its role to highlight the echoes of the Kashmiri freedom fighters. He said the day is not far when the Kashmiri brothers of Indian occupied Kashmir would get freedom.
