New york: Pakistan has reiterated its stance on United Nations Security Council (UNSC) reforms, calling for the abolition or severe restriction on the use of veto power by the permanent members.
During the 3rd Intergovernmental Negotiations on the Cluster of 'Question of Veto', Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad firmly opposed any expansion of the veto or addition of new individual permanent members.
He emphasized that more vetoes would only aggravate the problem.
