Islamabad: Pakistan while welcoming the US decision on declaring Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Majeed Brigade as Foreign Terrorist Organizations has said sacrifices by Pakistan led to counter terrorism successes for country, regional and international security.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad Tuesday said Pakistan had proscribed Majeed Brigade as a terrorist entity since 18th July, 2024. BLA and Majeed Brigade are involved in multiple terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including the heinous Jaffer Express terrorist incident and Khuzdar Bus Attack that resulted in the loss of precious lives.

Pakistan is a robust bulwark against terrorism. Our sacrifices have secured critical counter-terrorism successes, not only for the country, but for regional stability and global security.

Pakistan is determined for protection of its citizens and elimination of terrorism. Pakistan will continue to extend cooperation to international community.
