Pakistani diaspora contributing substantially to Pakistan’s economy through remittances: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review the issues faced by Overseas Pakistanis.

The DPM/FM was apprised of the various initiatives taken so far by the Government, in consultation with prominent overseas diaspora representatives, to resolve the issues faced by our diaspora, as well as new initiatives undertaken for their facilitation. Ishaq Dar emphasized that the Pakistani diaspora is contributing substantially to Pakistan's economy through remittances. He stressed the adoption of digital technologies to provide various services to Overseas Pakistanis, obviating the need for physical presence.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Chairman, Prime Minister's Youth Programme, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary IPC, and other relevant stakeholders.
