Karachi: Pakistan's largest IT Graduation Convocation, organized under Alkhidmat's Bano Qabil Program, will be held on Sunday, July 19, bringing together 15,000 graduates from across the program.
Speaking in a special statement, Naveed Ali Baig, Chief Executive of Alkhidmat Karachi, said that the convocation will not only award certificates to the graduates but will also recognize their achievements, celebrate their talents, and connect them with new career opportunities. He stated that transforming the lives of young people through information technology was the vision of Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, and today that vision is becoming a reality. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, will attend the event as the Chief Guest.
Naveed Ali Baig noted that the rapid growth of freelancing has brought about a revolution in the IT sector. He expressed pride that Alkhidmat has contributed to Pakistan's US$1 billion freelancing export industry by equipping thousands of young people with in-demand digital skills.
He emphasized that the event will be much more than a graduation ceremony. A number of leading IT companies and organizations will participate by setting up job stalls, enabling Bano Qabil graduates to explore employment opportunities and connect directly with potential employers.
The convocation will also feature an exhibition of outstanding projects developed by Bano Qabil graduates, showcasing their innovation, creativity, and technical expertise.
Naveed Ali Baig further announced that Alkhidmat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alibaba. Registration for the initiative will also take place during the event, and participants will receive detailed information about the collaboration, along with extensive networking opportunities.
He added that the program is open to the general public, particularly students who wish to witness how Alkhidmat is transforming society through IT education and digital empowerment.
Expressing optimism about the event, Naveed Ali Baig said the convocation would inspire hope among young people, help them envision a brighter future, and encourage them to move confidently toward new milestones in their academic and professional journeys.
