Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate says Pakistan is committed to pursuing a pragmatic foreign policy focused on strengthened economic cooperation.

Attaullah Tarar was addressing a seminar titled 'Pakistan in the Changing World' in Islamabad on Monday.

The Minister said Pakistan's international stature bears testimony to the effectiveness of government's prudent economic and diplomatic polices. He mentioned the constant positive economic outlook for Pakistan reported by international rating agencies. He added that Pakistan's remarkable journey from default to development and isolation to relevance has earned it international eminence.

Attaullah Tarar said building up on our achievements, we now look forward to a practical foreign policy which is based on enhanced economic cooperation alongwith diplomatic support.

Mentioning the Indo-Pak war of May this year, the Minister said unprovoked Indian aggression not only resulted in Pakistan's victory but also showed the world, a united and resilient Pakistan excelling across all domains.

He said Pakistan's position was internationally acknowledged when it offered India an independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan's alliances have been further cemented, while the countries at fences are looking forward to deepen cooperation with it.

On cross border terrorism, the Minister said be it Afghanistan or India, Pakistan has never played blame game rather it always presented irrefutable evidence.

The Minister said Pakistan's sacrifices in war against terrorism are internationally acknowledged. He said Pakistan has also suffered a huge economic loss worth billions of dollars in this war.

He said the martyrdom of our soldiers not only fortifies the country's defence but also endorses our unwavering pledge against terrorism.
