Islamabad: FIA Anti Corruption Islamabad has arrested chairman Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) Dr Ghulam Muhammad Ali.
According to sources chairman PARC has been arrested under charges of illegal appointments and misuse of powers.
FIA has also arrested directed Establishment Ikhlaq Malik who is allegedly involved in this matter.
According to FIA chairman PARC appointed 332 persons illegally against 164 sanctioned posts.
FIA has registered case and arrested both of the senior officers besides launching investigation against them.
17 other officers and subordinate staff are nominated in this case and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
Chairman and director PARC will be presented in the court today to obtain their physical remand.
