PEMRA tells LHC no order for not broadcasting name of Imran Khan on private TV channels issued

Lahore: Pakistan Electric Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has said no order was issued for not broadcasting name of Imran Khan on TV channels.Petition against not broadcasting name of Imran Khan on private TV channels came up for hearing in Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday.Justice Farooq Haider took up the petition for hearing.PEMRA submitted its report in the court on petition filed against non broadcasting name of Imran Khan on private TV channels.PEMRA said in its report it had not issued any notification for not broadcasting name of Imran Khan on private TV channels. The petitioner has not provided any evidence in connection with such order from PEMRA.The assistant lawyer said the counsel for the petitioner is pre-occupied in Supreme Court (SC).Justice Farooq Haider remarked he has never come. He has to only file application.The court adjourned hearing of the case for indefinite period.
