Lahore: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that People’s Party government in Karachi is threatening to seal the shops for printing the banners of ‘Haq Do Karachi’ movement.
While expressing his views on social networking website X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman questioned whether PPP government will tomorrow arrest the citizens for chanting the slogan of “Haq Do Karachi”? If this is not fascism then what is it?
Emir JI Pakistan while criticizing the provincial and city governments said that you were failed to provide water, roads and transport to 30 million citizens during the last 18 years, adding that the infrastructure of city has been destroyed; when people chant the slogan of “Haq Do Karachi,” you threaten them, and impose terrorism sections on political workers for protesting outside the Sindh Assembly.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Karachi is not only a city but it is a mini Pakistan, 98 percent economy of Sindh and 50 percent economy of the country depends on Karachi. He said that Peoples Party’s enmity with Karachi is, in fact, enmity with Pakistan. Hafiz Neeemur Rehman clarified that ‘Haq Do Karachi’ slogan is not of any specific nation, sect or community, but the unanimous voice of 35 million people living in Karachi. He said that this slogan will continue to be raised until and unless the city gets all its due rights.
