Permanent chief justices of three provinces, Islamabad appointed

Islamabad: Judicial Commission (JC) has appointed permanent Chief Justices (CJs) in Peshawar high court , Balochistan high court, Sindh high court and Islamabad high court.

JC met here under Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan. Tuesday.

JC accorded approval to make Justice Atique Shah Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice Rozi Khan as chief justice Balochistan High Court, Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar as CJ Sindh High Court.

Approval was given to make Justice Sarfraz Dogar as chief justice Islamabad High Court.

For the Islamabad High Court, the candidates under consideration were Justice Sarfraz Dogar, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb.

For the Peshawar High Court, the nominees were Justice Ejaz Anwar, Justice Atique Shah, and Justice Arshad Ali.

For the Sindh High Court, the names reviewed included Justice Junaid Ghaffar, Justice Zafar Rajput, and Justice Iqbal Kalhoro.

In Balochistan, the top candidates were Justice Rozi Khan Bareech, Justice Kamran Malakhail, and Justice Iqbal Kasi.
