Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) while accepting plea of respondents seeking time on the petition against the cancellation of degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought reply till November 27.

The petition against the cancellation of degree of Justice Tariq Jahangiri of IHC came up for hearing in SHC Friday.

The respondents sought time to file reply.

The court while accepting the plea of respondents sought reply till November 27.

The court had suspended the decision regarding cancellation of degree during previous hearing.

The petition said no notice was issued before cancelling the degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri. The court is requested to dismiss the decision regarding cancellation of degree. The decision by Karachi university be declared illegal.

Karachi university and federal government have been made respondents in the petition.
