Lahore: Election Tribunal (ET) Lahore High Court (LHC) has dismissed the petition against success of Sami Ullah husband of PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari in PP-145 Punjab Assembly .Petition was filed by PTI leader Yasir Gillani.Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad , judge of ET has issued 8-page written decision whereby the petition has been dismissed for not fulfilling legal requirements.According to decision the petition was not attested by oath commissioner. It was not filed under section 4 of Election Act-2017. Section 142 and 143 were not followed while filing the petition.The court while citing to several decisions of Supreme Court (SC) of this nature maintained this petition is not maintainable on technical basis.The petitioner took the plea result of 17 polling stations of PP-145 be corrected according to form 45.Yasir Gillani had requested the court to declare the form 45 of these polling stations illegal.The court however maintained after taking into consideration all these points that the petition has not been filed as per legal requirements. Therefore, it is dismissed under section 145 of ET.
