Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while admitting for early hearing the miscellaneous petition for constitution of commission for the protection of the journalists has directed to fix the petition for hearing next week.

The petition filed by Parliamentary Reporters Association came up for hearing before Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan of IHC Friday. Barrister Jahangir Khan Jadoon appeared on behalf of the petitioner. He took the plea Journalist Protection Act (JPA) provides a comprehensive protection to the journalists. JPA ensures discharging of their obligations by the journalists without interference. The court while admitting the petition for early hearing ordered to fix the case in next week.
