Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed for hearing the petition seeking court's order for making draft of proposed constitutional amendment public and seeking public opinion on this matter.The petition has been fixed for hearing with registrar office objections.The hearing will take place today (Friday).Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq will hear the petition.Through the petition the court has been requested to order for making the draft of constitutional amendment public.It has been said in the petition that public opinion was sought in 18th constitutional amendment. Likewise public should be given right to give opinion in this amendment too. Getting constitutional amendment pass in one day is negation of democratic and constitutional normsThe petition said its own laws of National Assembly (NA) say for publishing any proposed legislation in official gazette. At least 8 weeks time be given to public to give their opinion on this constitutional amendment.The petitioner has req uested IHC federal government be directed to make public draft of constitutional amendment on website of law ministry.
