PHC dismisses bail pleas of officers arrested in wheat scandal

Peshawar: Bail pleas of officers arrested in wheat scandal have been dismissed.Peshawar High Court (PHC) announced reserved judgment in respect of bail pleas of storage officer Arshid and former employee Tala Muhammad who are arrested in wheat scandal.As per media reports, PHC dismissed the bail pleas of both the accused persons.According to Additional Advocate General (AAG) Muhammad Inam Yousufzai, accused Arshid Azakhel is storage officer in Aza Khel and Tala Muhammad is former employee. Both the accused are involved in Wheat scandal. 1730 metric tonnes wheat was taken away from Azakhel storage.He told the court Anti Corruption KP while investigating the scandal registered case against the accused and took them into custody. Anti Corruption court has also dismissed the bail pleas of the accused.Later PHC dismissed bail pleas of accused.
