Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) while expressing resentment over closure of roads due to PTI protest has ordered to take immediate action, reopen all the roads forthwith and file the report.The petitions against the closure of roads due to PTI protest came up for hearing in PHC Tuesday.Justice Ejaz Anwar and Justice Farah Jamshed heard the petition.Chief secretary KP and IG KP appeared in the court.During the hearing of the case, Advocate General (AG) -------The court remarked Islamabad is not our domain. Proceedings be initiated against protesters.IG Zulfiqar Hamid requested the court to give two days.The court ordered no two days, proceedings be initiated from today. It is unfortunate that ruling party is causing inconvenience to its own people.The petitioner told the court 2 persons have died on the way due to protest of PTI.The court remarked these two deceased may be not important for them. Motorway should not be closed in any way. Protest be not allowed anywhere in Peshawar. Our c hildren cannot come out of homes due to closure of roads.The court inquired from IG the roads are closed since how many days.IG told the court earlier protest was held at 16 points which was limited to 10 points.The court inquired is it not violation of law that the roads are closed.IG KP said this falls under the jurisdiction of motorway police. When they send any letter then we take action.The court remarked no one can go out of Peshawar. See today's newspaper. The incidents of lawlessness in the province are before you .You have taken action against how many people so far.IG police Zulfiqar Hameed told the court we cannot take action unless motorway police sends reference.Justice Ejaz Anwar remarked when one road is closed then the entire Peshawar stands jammed. Traffic police personnel are not there at many sites.IG police said SAFE city project is in final phases.The court remarked there is no traffic system in place in the entire province.The court said to chief secretary you have taken what action so far. Where action is to be taken, they are sent to jail under 3 MPO. Inconvenience is being caused to people of KP. Lawlessness related incidents are occurring in every district of KP. It is unfortunate KP government is causing trouble to his own people.The court ordered to reopen the roads forthwith and file report till tomorrow.Talking to a private TV channel later, IG Police KP said the court has ordered to reopen the roads. We will reopen them now. Proceedings will be initiated as per law against those who are behind the closure of roads.When asked roads have been closed by PTI workers he said action will be taken as per court's orders against whosoever have closed the roads. Lawlessness is a challenge. Government is trying to resolve it.
