Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has summoned reports from provincial and federal government in missing persons case. Different petitions related to missing persons came up for hearing before PHC Friday. Chief Justice (CJ) PHC while expressing resentment over non receipt of reports in respect of petitions related to Fatima Bibi, Saiden Shah, Mujahid Khan, Khaista Jan, Roohul Amin and Muhammad Habib Khan directed the respective respondents to file reports soon.
The CJ PHC remarked " don't waste the time. Reports be presented before the court. During the hearing of the case Additional Advocate General (AAG) informed the court on Muhammad Saeed petition that he is in Mardan jail. The court wrapped up this petition declaring it in -fructuous. Likewise it was told in the petition of Adnan Hakim Khan the missing person is in detention centre in Lakki. The court sought report from commissioner Bannu.
The petitioner Muhammad Habib Khan appeared in the court and told he belongs to Kohat and he was kept from April 24 to June 26 after abducting him. He was released on June 26. This way police did injustice to him. The court while wrapping up petition ordered to hold inquiry into incident. The court while disposing off petition of missing woman Kainat directed legal proceedings be initiated with reference to relevant case.
