PHC stops NAB from arresting PTI leader Azam Swati

Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has stopped NAB from arresting PTI leader Azam Swati.The petition filed by Azam Swati against NAB notice came up for hearing before two members bench of PHC comprising Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Khurshid Iqbal Thursday.The court restrained NAB from arresting Azam Swati.The court remarked you should join inquiry. NAB would not arrest you.Azam Swat appeared in the court along with his counsel barrister Waqar. .Barrister Waqar told the court during hearing of the case NAB issued notice and had summoned Azam Swati on June 23. FIRs against the petitioner are registered in different police stations in the country and it is known too.The counsel told the court NAB issued call up notice but it did tell if he is witness in this case or what he is.When notice is issued as per law, it is must to tell therein that under what capacity he has been summoned.On the directive of court the counsel replied Azam Swati will join inquiry. NAB should take no action agains t the petitioner.On this occasion acting Deputy Prosecutor General NAB Muhammad Ali said NAB will file reply in this matter.Court stopped NAB from arresting Azam Swati. The court ordered NAB not to arrest him till next hearing.The hearing of the case was adjourned till July 16.
