Placing names of citizens in PNIL list challenged in LHC

LAHORE: The act of placing name of citizens in PNIL list has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC). The petition was filed by Azhar Siddique advocate on behalf of citizen Munir Ahmad. Federal government, interior ministry, DG Passport and FIA have been made respondents in the petition. The petitioner took the plea there are two laws for preventing people from going abroad under article 15. ECL law is in place for stopping from going abroad. Placing name in PNIL List runs contrary to law and constitution. It was requested in the plea that court should restrain federal government and others from placing the name of citizens in PNIL list.
