Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has directed to evolve comprehensive strategy and ensure advance steps for gas load management in Winter season.

A meeting regarding gas load management in winter season took place under PM Shehbaz Sharif .

The respective authorities gave briefing to PM on demand and supply of gas and advance steps taken for load management.

The meeting was told that domestic consumers will be given priority in supply of local gas while RLNG will be given preference for electricity production and meeting the needs of industries.

It was told during the briefing steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply from the existing gas reserves in Northern areas of the country .

PM directed to take all necessary steps for uninterrupted import of gas in the perspective of existing regional situation.

The proposal for Introducing bank financing facility also came under consideration to encourage use of equipment running with electricity for water and space heating.

Meeting was attended by minister for food security Rana Tanvir Hussain, minister for economic affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, minister for petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and others.
