Lahore: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has directed that steps be taken on priority basis for development of electric motorcycles, three wheelers, vehicles and buses.

PM said this while presiding over a review meeting on policy making and strategy for encouragement of electric vehicles industry and their use.

The draft of electric vehicles policy -2025 also came under discussion.

PM directed that establishment of charging stations and battery swapping stations be ensured for electric vehicles.

He said facility be provided to industries for enhancing the potential for manufacturing two wheelers and three wheelers.

He directed that electric vehicles policy be worked out in consultation with all stake holders soon and be presented before cabinet .

The meeting was attended by Federal ministers Rana Tanvir Hussain, Ahad Khan Cheema, Muhammad Aurangzeb , Haroon Akhtar and senior officials.
