Islamabad: 6 percent increase in salary of government employees has been approved by economic team of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.

Economic team held an important meeting under PM Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday.

According to sources final approval in respect of budget proposals will be accorded in the meeting of cabinet.

Earlier proposal for increasing 10 percent salary and pension of government employees and granting 30 percent disparity allowance to government employees from grade1 to 16 was under consideration.
