Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday congratulated the national hockey team for qualifying for the FIH Hockey World Cup after eight years and praised the players for their outstanding performance.

The prime minister said the team achieved this milestone through hard work, dedication and determination, which is highly commendable. He advised the players to continue working with the same passion and commitment to further improve their performance.

Shehbaz Sharif said that if the team maintains the same spirit and determination, it has the potential to win the upcoming Hockey World Cup. He assured that the government would provide all possible facilities and support to the national team so that the players can bring further glory to the country at the international level.

The prime minister also urged the players to keep their full focus on delivering the best possible performance in the game.
