Islamabad: Meeting between Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and JI Amir Hafiz Naeem is likely soon on the matter of petroleum levy.

Minister for planning Ahsan Iqbal contacted JI Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch Tuesday in connection with talks on Petroleum levy matter and conveyed the message of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif to Liaqat Baloch.

Liaqat Baloch said both the committees will soon work out schedule for meeting between PM and Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman.

According to Liaqat Baloch, PM and Hafiz Naeem will hold meeting as per set schedule.

The details for meeting will soon be settled between JI and government committees in connection with schedule of meeting.

The meeting between PM and Hafiz Naeem will focus on abolition of petroleum levy and relief therein.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman will talk to PM on reduction in price of electricity and matters related to IPPs.

It is clear demand of JI that petroleum levy be abolished fully, he held.
