Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that he had a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II of Jordan to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East.
PM Shehbaz Sharif in a statement issued on X said 'I expressed Pakistan's deep concern over the recent escalation in the region following Israeli attacks on Iran and the subsequent attacks on Jordan and other brotherly countries'.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that we emphasized the urgent need for restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation to preserve peace and stability.
He said that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the brotherly people of Jordan and remains ready to support all efforts aimed at restoring calm in the region.
