Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the dignified participation of Pakistani citizens in the "Sumud Gaza Flotilla".

In a statement on X on Thursday, PM Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the contributions of former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, AJK Minister Mazhar Saeed Shah, Wahaj Ahmed, Dr. Osama Riaz Sahib, Ismail Khan, Syed Aziz Nizami, and Fahad Ishtiaq, who took part in this significant humanitarian relief mission.

The Prime Minister said this initiative reflects the peaceful aspirations of the Pakistani people, their commitment to justice, and their enduring spirit of compassion for those in need.

He reaffirmed his government's support for the principles of respect for human life, safe passage, and the unimpeded delivery of aid.

PM Shehbaz Sharif further emphasized that the Government of Pakistan strongly demands the safe and dignified return of its citizens, and continues to pray and work tirelessly for their well-being and early repatriation.
