Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reached Tehran on his two day official visit of Iran.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni received the Prime Minister upon his arrival at Mehrabad Airport, Tehran.
Earlier, Turkish Defence Minister Yashar Guler, Deputy Governor Istanbul Ilker Haktankacmaz, President Pakistan-Turkiye Cultural Association Burhan Kayaturk, Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkiye Yousuf Junaid and Consul General Istanbul Nauman Aslam saw him off at Istanbul airport.
The purpose of the Prime Minister's visit was to express gratitude to the people of Trkiye, and especially to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for their strong support and cooperation during the recent Pakistan-India tensions.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to President of Trkiye Tayyip Erdogan for resolute support to Pakistan during the recent Pakistan-India standoff which resulted in Pakistan's overwhelming victory.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that he has conveyed the sentiments of gratitude from the people of Pakistan to their Turkish brothers and sisters.
He reaffirmed his resolve to working closely to further strengthen these unshakable bonds of brotherhood and cooperation.
