Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed government's resolve to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.

Chairing a meeting of the Federal Cabinet in Islamabad on Thursday, PM Shehbaz sharif said the blood of martyrs has drawn a line: to fight for Pakistan and no one can erase it now. He said federal and the provincial governments, parliamentarians, civil servants, and the Pakistan Armed Forces are working day and night. But all this effort will be in vain if we do not completely eliminate terrorism and crush its head as enough is enough.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said the time has come for decisive action. These martyrs are the crown jewels of Pakistan's honor and dignity. Their sacrifices must always be remembered. Forgetting them would be the greatest injustice to the region, the country, and their families.

The Prime Minister said those who facilitate these terrorists, give them shelter and support, are equally guilty. He said they support these Khawarij while our martyrs are defending Pakistan's soil with their blood day and night.

Meanwhile the Federal Cabinet has ratified the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The Cabinet, which met in Islamabad on Thursday with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, also paid tribute to the leaderships of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Besides, the cabinet approved donating fifteen non-operational aircraft of the Department of Plant Protection to various institutions for educational, commemorative, and exhibition purposes. The remaining four operational aircraft will continue to be used by the Department of Plant Protection for anti-locust operations. It is worth noting that previous attempts to auction these aircraft had not been successful, following which this decision was taken.

The meeting also granted in-principle approval for legislation to establish a special security force for the protection of major dams and hydropower projects under WAPDA.
