Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for quality education and training for all segments of society.

PM Shehbaz Sharif was chairing a meeting to review progress on the construction of Daanish Schools across the country and Daanish University in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister said thousands of children will benefit from the establishment of Daanish Schools across the country.

He said greater investment should be made in digital and modern classrooms during the construction of Daanish Schools and Daanish University. He said providing international standard education to the nation's children is his foremost responsibility.

He instructed that teachers in Daanish Schools should be provided with the best compensation packages, and that transparency and merit should be given central importance in the recruitment of teachers and staff.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said work on the construction of Daanish Schools in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should be expedited.

The Prime Minister noted that hundreds of students from low and middle income backgrounds have graduated from Daanish Schools and are proving their talent across the world.
