Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of proposal from FBR to arrest the traders involved in tax fraud.

According to FBR sources PM has taken notice of delegating powers to FBR to arrest the persons involved in tax fraud. PM has summoned meeting to consider FBR proposal.

Sources said the meeting will be attended by finance minister, chairman FBR and law minister.

Finance Minister and chairman FBR will inform PM about the law for arresting the traders.

According to sources , arrest and 10 years sentence has been proposed in finance bill for traders involved in tax fraud.

It is pertinent to mention here this amendment has been opposed in Senate standing committee on Finance.
