Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMandDC) convened a high-level council meeting at its headquarters to address concerns regarding the admission policy for the 2025-26 session, taking serious notice of recent media reports and acknowledging the stress faced by students.

Key stakeholders, including PMandDC Council members, Vice Chancellors, IBCC representatives, and legal experts attended the meeting. Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, participated as a special invitee.

PMandDC stated that the purpose of the meeting was to explore all possible solutions to provide maximum relief, clarity, and facilitation to students. The Council emphasized that it considers every student as part of its family and is committed to supporting them through this critical stage of their academic journey.

Council members clarified that while the three-year validity of the MDCAT result is legally defined under parliamentary domain, PMandDC will safeguard student interests and ensure their future is not compromised.

All concerns and suggestions from student groups were carefully reviewed. PMandDC confirmed it will fully cooperate with court proceedings to ensure maximum relief and transparency. The Council pledged to implement the court's decision fully, allowing students to progress in their academic careers with confidence.
