PM’s speechwriter Arshad Mahmood Malik transferred to PMO

Islamabad: Arshad Mahmood Malik, the speechwriter for Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, has been transferred to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Previously serving at state run television channel in Grade 18, Arshad Mahmood Malik's new appointment was formalised through an official notification issued by the Establishment Division. He will serve on a three-year deputation basis. A seasoned investigative reporter, Arshad Mahmood Malik began his journalism career in 1992 and covered several key beats. He first assumed the role of speechwriter after Shehbaz Sharif took office in April 2022 and was reappointed following the February 2024 elections when Shehbaz Sharif became Prime Minister for the second time.

Arshad Mahmood Malik has also held positions in various ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the PMO, showcasing his extensive experience in government and media.
