Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ship YARMOOK, operating under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150) of the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), successfully conducted a major counter-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea, seizing narcotics valued at approximately USD 972 million.
This major success underscores Pakistan Navys firm commitment to regional maritime security, global peace, and the ongoing fight against illicit trafficking at sea.
Operating as part of the multinational CTF-150, which works to ensure maritime stability and deter terrorism and illegal activities across international waters, the successful operation by PNS YARMOOK reaffirms Pakistans role as a responsible maritime partner contributing to peace and stability in the Indian Ocean Region.
Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, lauded the crew of PNS YARMOOK for their professionalism and dedication. He reiterated that Pakistan Navy remains resolute in safeguarding national maritime interests and contributing to global maritime security through cooperation and coordination. The Naval Chief further emphasized that the successful operation under the Saudi-led task force would enhance interoperability and strengthen defence collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
