Post in favor of Pakistan is not treason: Indian high court

Allahabad (india): Allahabad High Court (AAHC) India while giving a big decision has remarked post in support of Pakistan is not treason.

Allah Abad high court announced the decision while granting bail to a person arrested on uploading post in support of Pakistan on social media.

The court remarked such posts although fans rage or disharmony but these don't fall under the ambit of treason.

The court granted bail to one Sajid Chaudhry resident of Meerath in September 26 decision. He was charged with uploading the post " we are proud of Kamran Bhatti, Pakistan Zinda Bad.

He was arrested under section 152 of BNS ( threat to solidarity of India) and he was in jail since May 13.

Counsel for Sajid had argued his client neither wrote the post himself nor he made it and he had only forwarded it. He had no intention of fomenting hatred or undermining public safety.

The counsel said Sajid had no criminal record and his release on bail poses no threat.

On the other hand the state counsel while terming Sajid separatist said he has remained involved in such activities.

Allahabad High Court after hearing the arguments of the respondents ordered to release Sajid Chaudhy and abolished the allegation of treason.
