Lahore: Justice Faisal Zaman Khan of Lahore High Court (LHC) has remarked in regard to a petition related to Punjab Protection Ownership Act -2025 (PPOA) that is it necessary to politicize this matter.

The constitutional petition against PPOA-2025 came up for hearing in the court Monday.

Justice Faisal Zaman Khan of LHC directed to fix the petition for hearing before the respective bench after holidays.

During the hearing of the case Justice Faisal Zaman Khan said to the counsel Azhar Siddique is it essential to politicize this matter. The court raised this matter despite so much trolling.

Justice Faisal Zaman Khan further said you filed the petition by taking along 2 MPAs of PTI. Did these members deliver speech against this act in the assembly. They did not speak in the assembly and filed the petition here.

The court remarked you have placed your petition on face book too. Don't politicize this matter. This matter relates to properties of poor citizens. You are giving benefit to government through this petition. You should withdraw your petition.

It has been said in the petition the constitution has been violated by giving powers related to properties to the administration. The respondents are not allowed to appear in Dispute Resolution Committee through counsel.

It was told in the petition abolishing the powers of jurisdiction of civil courts is in conflict with the constitution. Clubbing executive and judicial powers is attack on independence of judiciary. Property Ownership Act and all the steps taken under it be declared null and void.

The counsel Azhar Siddique said if there are flaws in the law then they as law makers they challenge the law.

The two MPAs earlier challenged Local Government Act. MPAs wrote letters to chief secretary as well.
