Karachi: Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) while rejecting margin given by government has given indication to shut pumps all over the country.

Chairman PPDA Abdul Sami Khan said we had demanded 8 percent margin from government. It is impossible to work without this margin.

He cautioned if government does not decide to give 8 percent dealer margin then pumps will be closed.

He said we are giving 10 days time to government. The dealers will summon core committee meeting after 10 days and announce their final decision.

He said dealers margin is 3.12 percent at present. Government should give written assurance to increase margin to 8 percent.

If government wants, it should give 8 percent by increasing it in installments.
